Woodworking workshop interior

Built on tradition, designed for now

How we started

Glacier Wolf began in a rented garage space in 2019. Our founder, trained in traditional cabinetry but frustrated with the furniture industry's shift toward particleboard and veneer, wanted to prove that people still valued real craftsmanship.

The first piece was a walnut bookshelf for a friend's new apartment. Word spread through her design network. Within six months, we had a waitlist.

Craftsman working with wood

What guides our work

We believe furniture should outlive trends. The joinery methods we use have been holding wood together for hundreds of years because they work with the material's natural behavior rather than against it.

Every piece of wood has personality. Knots aren't defects to avoid but character to highlight. Grain irregularities tell the story of how the tree grew. Our job is to reveal what's already there.

Local sourcing

We work with regional mills who practice sustainable forestry. Most of our hardwood comes from within 300 kilometers of our workshop.

Traditional techniques

Hand-cut joinery, hand-planed surfaces, and hand-rubbed finishes. Power tools assist, but the critical work happens by hand.

Transparent process

You see the wood before we build. You approve the grain patterns. You understand exactly what you're commissioning.

Our workshop has grown, but our approach hasn't changed. Each piece still gets the same attention we gave that first walnut bookshelf. Because if it's going into your home, it deserves to be done right.
